All our power supplies have power factor correction (required by EU law since 2000); sophisticated thermal fan control and full circuit protection - short circuit, over voltage, over temp and over power.
Existing AGP motherboards have a 20 pin ATX connector and require a version 1.3 spec. PSU. The latest PCI-E motherboards have a 24 pin ATX connector and require a version 2.01 spec. If you have an AGP motherboard and require a new PSU, then we recommend you buy the latest version 2.01 and use a 24 pin to 20 pin adapter cable. When you upgrade, you merely throw the adapter away and fit the 24 pin plug directly.
For SLI motherboards it is recommended that you use a PSU with a minimum 460 watts of power.
